“Social Watch – Tamilnadu” is the Tamilnadu State-level contact organization of NSWC, which brings together states-level initiatives involved in social monitoring and undertakes similar tasks at the national level.

The International Budget Project of the Centre for Budget and Policy Priorities, Washington, recognized the Forum, very early, as one of the premier budget advocacy organizations in the country. The Forum was invited to participate at the International Budget Analysis Conference organized in Mexico and the major research articles and publications of the Forum and “Social Watch – Tamilnadu” have regularly been posted in their web-site.
4. National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR) (www.ncdhr.org.in).

“Social Watch – Tamilnadu” works very closely with NCDHR, especially on areas such as dalit budgeting and economic rights of dalits.
5. Social Equity Audits (www.equitywatch.net).

“Social Watch – Tamilnadu” is a co-founder and the core group member of the national initiative to evolve social equity audits and to undertake audits.
6. Tamilnadu Women’s Collective (www.womenscollective.in).

“Social Watch – Tamilnadu” works in close collaboration with Tamilnadu Women’s Collective especially in the sphere of Gender Budgeting.

8. Food First Information and Action Network (www.fian.org)

“Social Watch – Tamilnadu” collaborates closely with FIAN International, especially in the effort to link Right to Food in India with budgetary concerns.

CCFD, France, provides financial support and global solidarity to the core programme of “Social Watch – Tamilnadu” at present.
