undertakes specific research linking budgetary processes with specific
Economic, Social and Cultural / Livelihood Rights of dalits, tribals,
women, children, unorganized labour and small fisherfolk.

| 4. Peoples’ Manifestos |

The germinating ideas of a
“Peoples’ Manifesto” were sown during the Tamilnadu Social Summit, 1995,
organized by the Tamilnadu Peoples’ Forum for Social Development. Since
then, the Forum and “Social watch – Tamilnadu” have tried to intervene
at every election through evolving People’s Manifestos.
